HGV 1 Driver Fridge Felixstowe - Drivetek Recruitment Ltd

We are looking for HGV 1 Drivers for our client based in Felixstowe, for agency work throughout the year. The ideal candidate must have an HGV1 license with experience of refrigerated trailers, and some unloading will be necessary.

The start times are generally at 17:00 with shifts lasting a minimum of 10 hours.

The work is ongoing, from Sunday to Thursday or Friday

Candidates should be fully conversant with all tachograph legislation and be forward thinkers. They should also be able to communicate effectively in English, both in written and spoken form. Applicants must have held their HGV 1 Driver license for at least 12 months and have a checkable work history, as references will be taken prior to offers of work.

It’s essential that candidates have no more than 6 penalty points on their license and no endorsements for IN, DR, or DD infringements because of insurance restrictions. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HGV 1 Driver with Fridge experience to join our team. As an HGV 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting refrigerated goods over short and long distances while adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers full-time hours with the potential for ongoing work.

Responsibilities:

– Operate commercial vehicles to transport refrigerated goods to various destinations.

– Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.

– Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.

– Maintain accurate driving logs and records.

– Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

– Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed.

– Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members.

Qualifications:

– Valid Commercial Driver’s License (C+E).

– Proven experience as an HGV 1 driver with Fridge experience in a similar role.

– Knowledge of refrigerated Trailers and delivery driving.

– Ability to drive long hours and travel long distances.

– Strong work ethic and reliability.

– Excellent time management skills.

– Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points.
